Parasol Health Consulting Co-Founder publishes COVID-19 vaccine journal article with CDC colleagues
Atlanta, GA – 11/02/2023 – Parasol Health Consulting announced today the new Public Health Reports journal study. The study describes how the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program (FRPP) provided large-scale access to COVID-19 vaccines, particularly among communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19, by collaborating with the federal government, US jurisdictions, federal entity partners, and 21 national chain and independent pharmacy networks.
This unprecedented public–private partnership allowed the federal government to rapidly adapt and scale up an equitable vaccination program to reach adults, later expanding access to vaccine-eligible children, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This partnership allowed the U.S. to provide COVID-19 vaccine within 5 miles of 90% of the population.
